Elements of site design:
 

From among the templates available, I chose one that leans towards yellow, a friendly, sunny color.

The default font was acceptable - given that it is a clean font, that is typically available in all computers; it is easy to read and therefor preferred for website design.

The banner and sidebar were awful and I developed my own, taking just a few small patches of the original elements I liked. 

I kept the buttons and roll-overs which saves me time :-)

 

ornamental graphics: the silhouettes are graphics that my husband created independently and which are freely available to me. I have worked with graphic design software for over 16 years and enjoy this creative outlet. It helps visual identification.

 

content:  advertising my skills visually and verbally in a precise manner, not too brief, not too wordy - making the website an example of what a client can expect from my work.
